Walks with or without snowshoes allow you to discover our environmental and architectural heritage at your own speed, admiring unforgettable views and virgin scenery. Don’t hum and haw – discover the life of our woodlands! You won’t be disappointed! There are many other paths and trails in the Green Valley. Ask the Tourist Office for advice or talk to hoteliers etc. They also know their valley inside out.
Les Moises: the Nordic plateau of Les Moises (Habère-Poche) has a packed hiking track laid out alongside the cross-country ski trails. It’s lovely walk that anyone can do. (4.5 km)
The Lakes/Torchebise: leave from the Bois Noir car park (Habère-Poche), alongside the lake ski tow then follow the track to the 2 lakes, towards the hamlet of Torchebise.
La Glappaz (+ Full circuit of Miribel*): 1 hr 30 min (4 hr if you do the Miribel circuit).
Take Le Darandet chair lift (just 1 stage). Strap on your snow shoes and take the snow covered road on the right. In summer this is the road that goes to the hamlet of La Glappaz. In winter it’s absolutely magical as only pedestrians are allowed! Once in the hamlet of La Glappaz, you can either turn back or set off for the Miribel circuit: go alongside the Auberge de Miribel, then the Col du Creux, La Combe, Ajon, going up to the Miribel summit by the wayside cross (superb views of the Vallée Verte and Lake Geneva), go back down towards Le Replan, and follow the forest track on the right of the road to Les Ervines and Combasseran. This will bring you back to the Auberge de Miribel at La Glappaz. Back to Le Darandet chair lift.
